Home showing:
This is it! A date to go out showing has been decided, and appointments have been scheduled. We are hitting the road and going into prospective homes. In your search process, mental ideas are formed about the home you desire. Overlaying that idea on available inventory is the fun part.
Homes that are for sale run from fully staged and cleaned models to handyman specials. You can get an idea from the pictures, but nothing compares to going in and seeing for yourself. Air fresheners, no odor, or sometimes pet odor is present. We will never forget the home that had “new” carpet that kept us holding our breath :/ Yards can be in various states of repair as well.
Sometimes a few cosmetic things that are off can really shake up your perception of the home. Most times you are right, it needs to feel like home first. The most important part of this process is to document your thoughts throughout each home that you see. Here at 1850 we go the extra mile during your showing by taking notes of what we notice along with what you say & round up after each showing to determine where it falls on a scale of 1-10. Once the showing is complete, we send you a link to all the notes we took during your appointment to help remind you of everything you saw that day. Some people find their next home in one set of showings, others can take months to find the one. In either case, we are here to help guide you through the home search & make recommendations along the way.
We at 1850 Realty are happy to share information about the home buying process. Transactions can vary individually, and we are here to help you with your real estate needs. To discuss in more detail, don’t hesitate to contact us:
